January 2008
Heading towards The Escape Committee’s office. Gonna steal a desk for the rest of the day.
So very tired. Can’t concentrate…
My twitter apparently requires elementary school level reading, http://icanhaz.com/readinglevel
Coda crashed, this time taking Safari, iTunes, Dock and Finder with it, then 30 seconds later Terminal. Hard reboot required, WTF.
Since November I’ve cut smoking 99%. Cut booze by 60% and last three days I’ve been 99% vegan. Next, swimming & jogging then maintaining.
Love it when conversations provide you with an answer before the other conversationist has a chance to chip in.
I really want to go offline to work, but when working with Amazon’s EC2, SimpleDB and S3 you just can’t.

Tempted to not work today, as to rest wrists so I can play guitar in a pub tonight. I don’t like the trade off.

Reflecting on the often talked about gender equality in this industry. What % of your blog subscriptions are female? 6% female here.
Thinks @niqui has a warped idea of ‘cute’
@morn, LOL.

… or, are we all already participating in a “Web2.0 Big Brother”…
I always liked the idea of doing a “Web2.0 Big Brother”, maybe with Seesmic/Twitter that becomes easy to do?
My Dad (who’s in China and doesn’t listen to ska often) is asking me about the quality of a drummer in a Brighton ska band. Why? What?
Ok brain. It’s just you and me [and Twitters]. Too much wine last night or not let’s start on the todo list.
Todays Google logo for LEGO’s 50th year is very cool.
Urgh, what I’m feeling I blame on the bottle of red wine.
@morn, others have done it.. but others seem to have more reliable servers that those of Twitters.
Welcome email from RescueTime.com “Password: As IF we would send you your password in cleartext!”, thank you! A few need to learn from this.

@tomnixon, or will Facebook attempt to encompass your blog?
@morn, before you say anything “m(_ _)m” means apology, it has nothing to do with boobies.
☹☺☻, ⊂( ゚ ヮ゚)⊃, _| ̄|○, m(_ _)m, <(^.^)> is what said emoticon researching has taught me.
Wonders if Facebook will allow me to show the apps in my profile on my blog at some point in the future, Snipperoo-like.
@morn, your talking about having a six degrees of separation on Twitter. @joshr & I talked about it a while ago. It’d kill their servers.
@tomnixon, afterall with Reader, Analytics, Adwords, Feedburner & Checkout Google know that & more. Who _is_ Facebook’s competition?
@tomnixon, but if they see value.. say, feed advertising with their social twist. Who’s reading what & who’s saying what. Won’t they try?
Researching emoticon’s. There is loads!
@cspelsor, I hear that @petebw is like the dude from Heros. Flying, time-shifting, silver-lighting, immortal.
Missing out by not having coffee with @petebw @andybudd @joshr and @aral. Missing Brighton. Missing home.

The Johnny Cash cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails is still one of the most emotional songs I know, and probably always will be.

@markng, thanks! If she does, can she email me that one song? I’m dying to listen to it.
@morn it’s on an album called “The Story”, released in 2007. But I want the version from “Live At Easy Street Records” CD EP.
@morn, Brandi Carlile’s Have you ever.
Looks like I’ll have to buy a CD from the other side of the world to listen to that song again. WTF.
… what with iTunes store, Amazon, record labels, etc, you’d think in 2008 I could buy *every* song I wanted. But no.
Trying to buy an mp3. Can’t find it in any stores, so it’s back to stealing.
@joshr, that’s not _really_ your lunch, is it?
@SteveMarshall, yup, that’s how I did it :)
Nevermind JS guru’s, I figured it out.
JS guru’s out there, how would I do $this->$key = $val; in javascript?
